Is my website's data secure?

Yes, Ozcart is hosted on PCI compliant servers that undergo regular security checks. Your website is also 128/256bit encrypted with SSL. Security is something we take very seriously. We are audited by the highly respected Comodo, an internationally accredited security trust provider

What payment methods do you accept?

For your account with us, we accept Visa and Mastercard when paying for Ozcart subscriptions. For your store, you can accept any card that your payment gateway provider (e.g. ANZ eGate, eWay) allows

Why do you charge a setup fee?

Setup covers more than just installing your website on our servers - it includes personalised colours and graphic design. How it works is that you choose one of the base designs in our layout design collection, and we customise the colours and graphics to represent your business and brand as we build the site. This is a substantially better deal than you would get having "free" setup, and paying hundreds or thousands extra for a "design package", or having to hire a designer. Don't get fooled by free setup.

What does the setup cost cover?

The setup fee is a flat rate, one-time payment. We build each site manually based on the package you select and configure it for Australia. This includes setting up Australian GST, Australian states, Australian spelling, Australian shipping zones, and Australian weight measures. The setup fee also covers inserting your logo and business name into the base design in our collection that you choose, as well as free colour and graphic customisation.

What does the monthly fee cover?

Ozcart hosted ecommerce is a subscription service, so your monthly fee covers your monthly hosting fee and unlimited access to Australian support, available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

What types of support do you offer?

Support for your website is offered by Australians in Australia, 7-days-a-week, every day of the year (INCLUDING public holidays). We have two types of support methods, which are both online: a knowledgebase with questions/answers and tutorials, and an email ticket system where you can have your specific questions answered by email by a real person. We don't have telephone support - our phone number is for sales enquiries only.

I have my own design. Can I reduce the amount of setup I pay?

No. Every site is built from scratch so you must pay the full setup cost regardless of whether you choose the optional colour and graphic customisation. A header design provided by you can be uploaded into your site if it fits the dimensions for that base design, but a completely custom design would need to be integrated with Ozcart by us which will be subject to a quote from our sales team. Custom work is charged at a flat rate per hour.

Can I backup my website

Your website is automatically fully backed up daily. This includes templates, products, orders etc. Daily backups are kept for 7 days. To have a backup restored you need to submit a support ticket. You can also do partial backups from your admin control panel form the Backup/Restore button.

What type of products can I sell?

You can sell physical products such as clothing, electronics, car parts, shoes etc or you can sell downloadable products such as ebooks and software.

Can I edit my template design?

Some of our template designs include the option to edit header images, but just like the signage on a physical store most of them are fixed in place once the website is built. You can turn on or off sideboxes at any time.

Can I upgrade my Ozcart plan?

Yes, you can upgrade your Ozcart plan anytime. All data such as products, customers etc is not effected and stays the same. As the setup cost is the same from plan to plan, there is no extra setup to pay in order to upgrade (i.e. you pay your $399 setup only once - if you later upgrade you don't have to pay it again).

Do you have contracts?

No, we do not have any contracts. To cancel your Ozcart plan you only need to give us 14 days written notice (any invoices in that period must be paid).

Can I have my website installed without going live?

Yes, this is a popular option for customers who have a lot of products they would like to add to their website and do not want to go live straight away. What we do is build your website on an IP address instead of the domain name (e.g. http://74.54.75.146) so you can use and test it. Once you are ready to go live simply submit a support ticket and our support staff will make your website live on the domain name.

Can I use a Sub Domain?

Yes, You can choose to have a sub-domain like shop.yourdomain.com.au. Many customers choose this option if they currently have a website on the root of their website with another provider. A Sub-domain can be setup for ozcart so it does not interupt your current website.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes, you can use your own domain name. When you go through the checkout to buy Ozcart you will given the option to Buy a new domain, transfer from another provider or point your domain nameservers to your new website and keep the domain with the current domain register.

Can I use my own SSL Certificate?

Yes, if you are transferring to us, we can install a certificate from another provider for you if you provide it to us. However there is a $49 installation fee. When the certificate renews further certificates can only be purchased from us.

Does Ozcart include SSL?

Yes, we include the first 12 months for FREE with your ozcart plan. SSL is then $69 p/year gst included for renewals.

Do I need a merchant account?

No, You not not have to have a merchant account to get started selling online with Ozcart. You can offer payments through PayPal, Paymate, Money Orders or bank transfers. If you have a merchant account you can offer credit card payments and the money is then paid directly into your bank account.

What Payment Gateways does Ozcart accept?

As at the time of writing, Ozcart accepts Camtech, eWay, eWay with Verified by Visa (3D Secure), DirectOne, ANZ eGate, CommWeb, e-path, Suncorp POS, St George Internet Payment Gateway, Bendigo Bank via MIGS, NAB Transact, Payment Express (DPS), Paypal, Paymate, BPAY, Flo2Cash, Bank Transfer, iPay, Cheque, Money Order, Layby, Purchase Order, Cash on Delivery, Paystation, Giveaways (free)

Do I get email accounts with Ozcart?

Yes, all Ozcart plans include unlimited email accounts. You have access to webmail and you can also setup them up locally in your email program.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds. We offer a fully featured demo that you try before you buy.

Can I add other Languages to my store?

Yes you can add other languages to your website. You can simply create new languages in the control panel and customers can select the language on the front-end of the store. Currently Languages is for product titles and descriptions however we also have an add-on module available to translate everything except the checkout of your website into other languages.

Are all features included in all plans?

No, but almost all of Ozcart features are included in the plans we offer. Some very specialist features like multi-warehouse, multi-vendor dropshipping support for wholesalers are only available on the Diamond package or above. The main difference in plans are the number of products allowed, Bandwidth and Storage Space.
